What is your paddle of choice?
Whatever's available and won't hurt my shoulder.
How long have you been playing paddle?
Prob about 10 years or so. Started playing with George Lavursky (the paddle legend) who taught me everything I know.
What is your favorite part of playing paddle?
Definitely hanging out with the boys after the match and telling stories. Win or lose I feel the comradery always brings me back.
Your greatest paddle strength?
Without question, a roll forehand.... It's probably my only strength. That and I have pretty good doubles instincts from tennis.
What is your best paddle memory?
Also a no-brainer here. Sorry to Brett Englesberg and Jeff McMaster but Jesse McKenna and I beating those guys in the pouring down rain in a third-set tiebreaker is def my favorite paddle memory.
What do you enjoy when you’re not playing paddle?
I like hanging out with the kiddos. And I also play drums in a rock band.... (Shameless plug alert) look us up we're called Garage space!!!
Do you have any pre-match rituals?
I do.... And everyone who knows me.... knows what it is.
What advice would you give to beginners?
Play up!!! Keep the level of competition high so you don't have to unlearn years of bad habits.... Like I did!!!
